  • FMS Athletics Parent Meeting

    FMS athletics will begin Monday, August 23.  Fall athletics will begin with a parent/athlete meeting at 4pm, students should be prepared to practice following the meeting.

    Athletes interested in participating in football, cross country, girls basketball or cheerleading should plan to report to FMS on Monday, August 23rd at 4:00 p.m.  Students must have a physical that has been completed after April 15, 2021, on file in order to participate in inter-scholastic athletics for the 2021-2022 school year. Physicals for fall athletes must be turned into the FMS Main Office by Tuesday, August 17th. You may bring it into the office beginning August 9th or you may fax it at any time to  810-591-0148.   

    Just a reminder, if your child participates on a FMS athletic team, there is a $100.00 pay-to-participate fee.  This one-time fee is due prior to the first athletic contest of that particular season.   


    The MHSAA Health Questionnaire will not be in use for the 2021-2022 school year.  An MHSAA pre-participation sports physical is again required for all students who participate in sports in 2021-22. A valid 2021-22 physical examination must be completed on or after April 15, 2021.  Please inform students as early as 5th grade of this requirement and date.   

    Sports Physicals: For the 2021-22 school year, an MHSAA pre-participation sports physical is required for all students who participate in sports. A physical examination must be completed on or after April 15, 2021 to be considered a valid physical for 2021-22. The MHSAA Health Questionnaire will not be in use for next school year. Please be sure to inform all parents and students – especially those who will begin middle school next fall – of the April 15 date. 

    MHSAA Physical Form - must be completed after April 15, 2021 for participating in the 2021-22 athletic school year.
