Just for Parents
Welcome Parents! You are cordially invited to be a partner in your child's education!Stay in Tune: Ask your child what he or she is studying, what they learned at school, and look in the D.O.T. every night. The Take Home folder is where you will find the notes, newsletters, graded work as well as any homework that needs to be completed. Our weekly newsletter will help you keep up with important happenings in our classroom.
Please Ask Questions: Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions! If something is not working, I am more than willing to talk. If you have any concerns or are wondering why something is happening, please feel free to call or email me at any time. I appreciate and welcome all ideas, concerns, and feedback that affect your child or our classroom.
Homework: You can expect that your child will have homework most everyday that could last at least 30 minutes. It works best if you set up a scheduled time with your child for homework each day. If you notice that your child is not able to do an assignment, please send a note or write directly on the assignment. I will contact you if your child is falling behind or turning in poor work.
Snack: All students may bring a nutritious snack and a water bottle to school everyday. It is extremely helpful and less confusing if the child's name can be put on the water bottle. Please also give me a heads up at least a day ahead of time if your child is planning to bring a treat for his or her birthday.
Please refer to the side for other helpful sub pages. I am looking forward to working with you and your child this school year!
